Shelves that you actually hang your work on or used as background may be metal grid panel types such as those made by the Graphic Display Systems, or panel type of carpet such as those made by the Panel Pro, or mesh netting made by Flourish. Get what you can afford and upgrade as sales allow. A carpet / indoor outdoor or other ground cover is an added touch of fun if it increases your booth and not divert attention away from your art.
Having a focal point in your booth, a "big lie," a signature piece, or something that stops the participants appear in their tracks so they will want to come and see what your art is all about. I hang limited edition matted and framed 24x36 piece of my signature on a custom made credenza (which is on wheels, but wheels disguised) right in the middle of the back wall of my booth. Popular image is what I most identified with for being the best selling print. Since I've started doing this, I seldom fail to sell one of framed prints. credenza also tastes featuring pieces that are very small, such as note cards, hand painted tiles, and guest book for the address and email address (my favorite way to contact the people). Inside the drawer credenza is the change in my (ever changing adequate), ticket sales, credit card form (in my opinion, you must accept credit cards for higher end items), tape, string, insect repellent business cards, and brochures, and the extra hang tags for my part framed. Underneath is a framed print ready to fill the rack when one of my prints for sale. All of my work that hangs framed (with the exception of an occasional canvas gallery wrap) in a similar style frame with brass nameplates to increase the value and identify the title of the passage. All framed prints of arms in the clear bag that has a fold adhesive to seal them and placed in tracking rack.
